Blend Projects and Sanctum Saunas are partnering to deliver the highest quality saunas and sauna-experiences available on Vancouver Island and throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Sanctum Saunas has carefully designed each sauna unit for the highest level sauna experiences and for the health and wellness benefits. Whether you want the high heat with steam experience or a full spectrum (near, mid, and far combination) infrared, or the additional benefits of chromotherapy, our saunas are all designed with this in mind.

Traditional sauna (base unit)

  • Our saunas are equipped with either electric, wood, or gas heaters depending on your needs.

  • All our saunas are able to handle water added to the rocks to produce a steam component in the sauna. Buckets and ladles are available for purchase.

Features + Specifications:

Infrared

  • We use a combination of near, mid, and far infrared panels to produce full-spectrum infrared therapy.

  • Our focus is providing the peak level of health and wellness products which includes protecting our customers from harmful conditions. We only use the lowest EMF producing panels available to ensure our customers are not subjected to avoidable hazards.

Sizes

  • We are careful to design our saunas to be under 100 square feet as we understand some limitations with municipalities and permitting. Our saunas do not exceed this limitation.

  • Our smallest unit available will comfortably fit 6 people and our largest is designed for 10.

Chromotherapy

  • Additional chromotherapy panels are available in our saunas to achieve the gold-standard in sauna therapy.

  • As with our infrared panels, the red-light panels we use are ultra low EMF.

Finishes

  • Our base model is finished with stained cedar and is designed to withstand the harsh conditions of the Pacific Northwest. We offer a black standing-seam metal cladding as well as an array of custom materials.

  • Our base model is finished with clear, heat-treated tongue and groove cedar. Other options are available and all finishes are sauna compatible.

  • Our saunas are all finished with durable slip-resistant and water-resilient large format ceramic tiles. You will never have to worry about the finish of the floor.

  • We use linear LED lighting to provide beautiful diffuse and soft lighting in our saunas. RGB lighting is available and our base model is equipped with 3000k warm.

  • Our systems allow for greater flexibility than any other manufacturer. Discuss with our team to ensure all your needs are met in terms of total size, door and window locations, and finishes.

  • We can integrate any fuel source needs. Full electric, wood fired, or off-grid gas.

  • Interested in adding full-spectrum infrared treatment to your unit? All our saunas are capable of upgrading to the holy-grail of sauna treatments: traditional heat + steam, full-spectrum infrared, and red-light chromotherapy.

  • All our saunas arrive on site fully prefabricated in our environmentally controlled manufacturing facility in Nanaimo. Minimal site work is required and it is plug and play, drag and drop, turnkey, and ready to use.

    As a licensed and insured contactor, we can help our with any site-work needed. A small foundation and services connections will be required.
